Court Dossier
Our court Dossier was sent to be apistilled. We got it back Tuesday and we mailed it to our agency. They will look it over and if all is good they will send it to our facilitator in Josiah's country. She will translate it and if its all good she will submit it to the judge, after we get home from our first trip. The judge will then send us a court date. Please pray that everything is good and no changes need to be made with our Dossier. And that nothing else needs to be added. I will tell you it sure does feel good to have it all done!!!
Please also pray that we get granted one of the adoption loans we applied for. As of now looks like we will be short $3000 for our first trip or maybe we can say our flights. If anyone out there wants to help us out by paying for our flights please let me know. Or if anyone is willing to put it on their credit card for us to pay back that would also be great. Thank you for all your prayers.

5 months today
5 months today boy it seems to get faster and faster that I post these monthly posts. So it has been 5 months today that we committed to be Josiah's family. Not so much has happened in the last month .We sent in our application dossier, our facilitator is translating it and will submit it to the committee on August 23rd. In the mean time we have been getting the last things done for our court dossier ,getting a few forms filled out,a few things notarized, we had to go get a couple more copies of our marriage certificate, get the kids Dr. check up letters, and of course we got our the USCIS letter. We should have everything done by the end of this month and be able to send it all in to be apostilled . Then send it to our agency, who will send it to our facilitator, who will translate it and I think send it to the Judge. so that when we get back from our first trip our court dossier will already be in the Judge's hands and hopefully the Judge will give us a sooner then later court date.
We are working hard on getting money for our first trip we have sold things on Craig's list and had a couple small garage sales. On the 4th I have a table at the doll show where I will be selling my doll collection . So we hope to have the money we will need but I think we may come up $3000 short for the first trip. If you look to the right of this post you will see a chip in that still sits at 0, if you are reading this and would like to help us out you can donate by using PayPal on that chip in. Remember every little bit helps. We have not found out if they are giving us the loan yet, not sure when we will find out.
The next few weeks I really think are going to go by fast and I hope that when I post our 6 month post I will at least know the date that we will be going to see our boy. 5 months does not seem like a long time but when I look back on the last five months I can't believe we have come this far, just a bit more and we will have him in our arms.

Connor and Martin both need a family
There are so many children that touch my heart as I look thru Reeces rainbow.I wanted to post some of them on my blog so I decided to pick two each week. sweet little Connor already has a $10,000 grant how great is that.and cute blond Martin has $2,118 in his grant fund ,please take a look at their sweet faces can you see one of them as your baby?
Connor
Gender: Male
Eyes: Gray
Hair: brown
Character: sociable
Connor is such a handsome little boy, and one with a guardian angel too! Now that Masha Green's adoption is finalized, we finally have approval to begin slowly moving into this region to seek adoptive families for our angels with Down syndrome. And there are SO many, but Connor's adoption must be completed first and foremost.
Connor was born a TWIN with a healthy fraternal twin brother. Mom left Connor at the orphanage and took the other boy home. Connor had a heart condition at birth, but has had corerctive surgery and is completely healthy now. He is quite high functioning...strong, happy, active, social, and affectionate. He is walking/running and doing great. But now he is facing the mental institution, so we need a loving family for him quickly. More photos are available.
I have $10,000in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!
Martin
Boy, Born January 20, 2006
1v3o -2H
Martin is a beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed boy who was born with Tetralogy of Fallot. He has an astigmatism and an umbilical hernia (common in children with DS). We are thrilled to have more new photos of him, and they show what an active, social, imaginative and capable little boy he is!! Despite his heart condition, he is growing well, has good color, and does not seem to be adversely affected by any oxygenation issues.
Martin was blessed to be transferred to an older child orphanage instead of the institution, so we are so grateful that he has been given an extended opportunity to find his forever family!!
. Please consider Martin for your son! He is described as a cheerful and playful boy!
UPDATE, June 2010! Congenital heart disease - Tetralogy of Fallot is not present any more in his diagnosis as on February 10, 2009 he underwent a cardiologic surgery. There is no heart condition! He is just being observed by cardiologist once a year.
I have $2118 in my grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!

Waiting hum maybe this is the hardest part of all. I have put off a few papers that need to be filled out and notarized for our court Dossier but after we get them done we are just waiting. Waiting for our date. Waiting for that email, phone call or letter telling us when we get to meet our son. Waiting to see his sweet face for the first time. Waiting!! yep this is the hardest part so far.
