trying not to get too excited

The lady that gives out the dates for our meeting with the committee to go see Josiah our 1st trip, is back from vacation tomorrow. I'm trying not to get too excited about getting our date, she may not get a chance to get it to us by tomorrow. Oh how I pray she does. I'm just tired of waiting, I want our date, I want to book our flights, I want to go see our boy. I will update as soon as we have news.

confirmation from God

I wrote 2 days ago  how we didn't get the loan, well that night I prayed and just told God its in his hands! and he told me once again that it will all come not too soon not too late but at the perfect time his time to trust him.

well the next day I was pretty sad all day then I get an envelope in the mail from our mortgage company, it says we were approved for a reconfiguration of our loan. I didn't know what it was. I called Mike and asked him if he filled out any papers or anything about our mortgage. he said no, that back in July he talked to someone on the phone because we were late on our payment. but that was it.We didn't know if this letter was legit or a scam since there are so many scams these days. Mike made an appointment with the loan officer and went in this morning. It is all legit! the lady couldn't even believe it, she said people have been trying to get a reconfiguration and it takes over 6 months. We never filled out any paper work or anything. So here is the big thing we don't have to pay until November Ist  two months!!! our payments were $1500 so that means we have the extra $3000 that we can use on our adoption! just what we needed! $3000 is what we were lacking! now is that God or what!!!! plus our payments have gone down $340 a month! praise God! no refinancing, no huge paperwork mess to fill out just an envelope in the mail saying you were granted this, something we never even asked for..
so now we have what we need for our first trip! and I know the rest will come just in time in Gods time.

The Rescuers - Someone's waiting for you

Be brave little one.
Make a wish for each sad little tear.
Hold your head up though no one is near
Someone's waiting for you.
Don't cry little one.
There'll be a smile where a frown use to be
You'll be part of the love that you see.
Someone's waiting for you.
Always keep a little prayer in your pocket
and you're sure to see the light.
Soon there'll be joy and happiness
and your little world will be bright
Have faith little one
'Til your hopes and your wishes come true.
You must try to be brave little one.
Someone's waiting to love you

loan

So we got an email about the loan we applied for and here it is short and sweet. of course they added a huge amount of niceness to it trying to make it sound not so bad but this is all I could read. "We do not have the resources to provide financial assistance for every family who applies. We sincerely regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you any financial assistance for your adoption."
I don't know what we are going to do about the money we still need, all I can say is it's in Gods hands.
we need around $3,000 for our first trip and will need around $15,000 for our 2nd and not sure about the 3rd. So far we have had just what we needed when we needed it so I will trust for the same for the rest.

6 MONTHS

6 months today 1/2 a year wow ! so we are pretty close to getting to hold our baby and I pray that before I write the 7 month post we will have a bunch more pictures and stories to tell about him. 6 months can seem long at times but other times it seems so short, right now I'm back and forth on that because for one thing to tell you the truth I just cant believe we are done with all that stuff! homestudy and dossiers. I look back and it feels like it wasn't even us doing all that stuff,it amazes me that we did it all and have it all done and that our next step is to get on a flight to go see our boy . Then I think about how much kids grow in 6 months and I just wish we could have one new picture of him so we could see how big he is, if his hair has grown out. And an update on if he's walking, talking so on.As a mom you want to be there for all of their millstones. It's hard to think of everything he has probably learned or how far he has come in 6 months that I have missed. I know that I will see him not to long from now so that helps. So here is to 1/2 a year !!! let the next 1/2 be full of blessings!!!!  We are still short $3,400 for our first trip if you can help us please do we hate hate asking for anything let alone money so this is a hard thing for us to ask but if you had been planning to donate now would be a great time. Thank you to all of you who read this blog all the prayers and support.

Charity needs a family

Not sure why but I felt a strong need to post Charity as well so you get 3 babies this week.

What a munchkin! Big brown eyes :) More photos available. Charity is a beautiful girl with Down syndrome. She was born with a heart condition, but has had corrective surgery and is healthy and doing well now. She is still crawling, and will greatly benefit from a loving family to encourage her development!!

Sasha and Lisette need a family.

Sasha

Boy, Born July 17, 2007
Poor Sasha lost his family due to an unexpected illness :( He is now "at risk" and needing a new family quickly! He has darling duck fuzz platinum blonde hair and giant blue eyes. We have many photos of him available. Hope someone will consider him, and any of the other precious babies at this orphanage!
I have $4020 in my grant fund towards the cost of my
adoption!

Lisette

Girl, Born March 10, 2007
she like Sasha has lost her family not sure why but she is now listed back on Reece's Rainbow and needs a family.
Isn't she beautiful? Long, silky brown hair and deep brown eyes! Born with an ASD (atrial septal defect) and pulmonary stenosis of the first degree. Received regular cardiac check-ups. Cardiology check-up in July 2009 indicates no further heart problems and no more follow up visits are needed. She has been receiving therapy. She is sitting without assistance, has good eye to eye contact, she is taking toys and playing with them. Lisette is already cleared for international adoption and can be adopted very quickly!
